Class of 1986 40th Reunion

Here are some tentative details for our upcoming 40th Reunion (9/18, 9/19, 9/20 2026)
PROPOSED TIMELINE OF EVENTS:
FRIDAY
1) “Friday Night Lights!” Homecoming Football Game -vs- Chapman! $8 game tickets at the gate.
2) Followed by a “Fifth Quarter” Open Outing afterwards for any who would like to attend. Details TBD.
SATURDAY: (Golf in the AM? Anyone?)
1) Tour the High School at 11am.
2) NOON / Lunch Gathering opportunity with friends you’d like to connect with wherever you’d like to connect!
3) Join c/86 Classmate Tori (Holt) Murphy, at the Celebration of the culmination of the annual event she hosts in memory of her son Derrik whom she tragically lost to Cancer as a child. “Derrik’s Ride” will culminate at Old Abilene Town around 4:00pm. It’d be really awesome if we could stop by in support of the event! This event raises money for local cancer victims and this year will benefit a 4yr old girl named Poppy.
4) Evening fun gathering at Great Life Golf Course
- 5:30 Social hour
- 6:30 Dinner and a DJ and… Dancing if you dare… :-)
SUNDAY:
1) Sunday 10 AM - Worship Service at Life House Church (where classmate Brian Emig is pastor). https://lifehouse-church.com
2) Lunch Gathering Picnic and Memorial Recognition for Classmates who have passed. The picnic will be around “Noonish” at Browns Park at one of the shelter areas at the park / look for the “Class of 86” signs.
We are Hoping to keep costs around $50 per person total for the entire weekend. If that amount would be cost prohibitive for you, Show up anyway! Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with your classmates!
We have donors who would be willing to give so that you can attend. And, if you’re reading this and would like to be a donor for this very thing, or for the reunion as a whole, shoot me a DM. We’d love to have your support with this!
