Abilene to Switch Online Water Bill Payment Systems on Aug. 27
The City of Abilene will transition to a new online payment system for water bills and other city accounts on Aug. 27, 2026. The city is replacing its current payment portal with InvoiceCloud, a new platform that will require all existing online users to take several steps to maintain access.
Current online payment users will receive an email on Aug. 27 containing a link to the new portal. Customers will need to create new login credentials, as existing usernames and passwords will not transfer to the new system. City account numbers will remain unchanged. Customers enrolled in AutoPay will also need to re-enroll, as that information will not carry over.
The first water bill payments under the new system are due Sept. 15, 2026. The city's website at www.abilenecityhall.com will redirect users to the new payment portal.
Residents with questions can contact the city's utilities department at 785-263-2550 or by email at [email protected].
