Planned Water Outage Affects Area Near Eisenhower Library in Abilene
A planned water service interruption began Monday morning, August 17, 2026, affecting customers near the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum in Abilene, Kansas.
According to the City of Abilene, contractors working on the new IKEducation Center are connecting fire line and domestic water service at the site. The city said water service was expected to be restored by mid-afternoon.
Customers in the immediate vicinity of the work area were directly affected by the outage. The city indicated that residents in surrounding areas may also have experienced temporary loss of water service during the work.
