Abilene Police Chief to Host Community Coffee Event in August

Abilene Police Department Chief Wilkins will hold a "Coffee with the Chief" event on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Jump Start, located at 2000 N Buckeye Ave in Abilene, Kansas. The event is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The informal gathering will give residents an opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns directly with the police chief. According to the city, the event will not include a formal agenda or speeches.

The event is part of a community engagement effort by the Abilene Police Department to provide residents with direct access to department leadership.
