Sports Complex Groundbreaking Expected Within Two Weeks
New renderings are now available showing what Abilene's future Sports Complex is expected to look like. The project includes four new softball and multi-use fields, along with related improvements.
Groundbreaking is expected within the next two weeks, moving the project from planning into construction. Residents can follow progress on the city's dedicated Sports Complex Improvements project page.
The city has also created project pages for its 2026 Street Improvement Projects and Industrial Park Development, bringing together locations, schedules, funding, timelines and updates for each in one place.
