ANOTHER POSTOFFICE

Lyonsdale Will Be Just Over Geary’s Line.

The people of east Dickinson are soon to have a new postoffice, Lyonsdale. It will be a mile south of Rhinehart and a little east, just over the Geary line. Paul Weisenfluh will probably be postmaster and he and his brother Carl will have store. They are rustlers and carry a fine stock of general merchandise. They have made a fine reputation as among the county’s most up-to date merchants.

The Belle Springs company has located a creamery station there also. The new town promises to be a great convenience to people in that vicinity.

COUNCIL ADOPTS ORDINANCES.

The city council met last night and adopted two ordinances, one on grades and one on misdemeanors, preparing them for the ordinance book.

BASE BALL TOMORROW.

The Herington-Abilene game at the old fairgrounds tomorrow promises to be a good one and a hard-fought contest. Seats have been secured for the stand and all should go and see the game.

Will Compile Sewer Ordinances.

City Attorney J. A. Young has been engaged by a large publishing firm that makes a specialty of law books to compile the form of sewer ordinances, contracts, etc., used in establishing a sewer system in Kansas. His excellent work in preparing the Abilene ordinances has shown him to be thoroughly qualified. The new work will be a valuable one to cities beginning sewer work and the selection of Mr. Young to do the work is a merited appreciation of his ability.
