Abilene schools dismiss early Friday to end first quarter; parent-teacher conferences Oct. 21-22

Abilene Public Schools students will be dismissed early Friday, Oct. 16, to mark the end of the first quarter, the district said.
Middle and high school students will be dismissed at 1 p.m., and elementary students at 1:10 p.m. There will be no ABC Afterschool Program on Friday because of the early dismissal, according to the district.
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, and Thursday, Oct. 22. School will also dismiss early on both conference days, the district said.
