Abilene Sports Complex advances as infield work wraps and drainage begins
Construction continues at the Abilene Sports Complex, with infield stabilization now complete and crews beginning to place drainage pipe throughout the new complex.
Work is underway at Field 2, where an old septic tank beneath the pitcher's mound has been pumped out and is being prepared to be filled once laterals are located and removed from the infield.
Materials for new lighting and backstops are beginning to arrive on site.
Chad McAfee and McAfee Dirt Works have been part of the site work helping prepare the grounds for the project.
